Gun

Simple sidearm. Clip can hold ten bullets, and is the only method available for damaging monsters. Can be aimed straight, up, or down to hit a creature in the chest for normal damage, in the head for maximum damage, or in the legs to push them back for the least amount of damage.

It is obtained from the right side of the balcony of Apartment 204, after giving Chie the Doll. On providing "You" with the firearm, she simply comments "I'm not one to judge".

Note: This is the only firearm "You" will use, claiming that the other guns at the gun store are too loud, too large or too small. Killing monsters reduces your sanity, as will examining or firing the gun, even without targeting a monster, all negatively impacting the Psycho Report.

Running out of bullets for the first time will result in The Lone Survivor, "You" losing his mind and fainting, (apparently panicking in despair, claiming that he will not last longer), where he will have a Blue Dream (normally only possible by sleeping after taking a Blue Pill) before waking up in his apartment, with exactly 21 bullets in his inventory. This does not reset or advance the day.

In Super Lone Survivor, every time Hank is given four Health Tonics, he will make modifications to the Handgun, increasing its clip size, stopping/knockback power, and overall damage (Despite what he says, the ammo capacity always remeains 10). With a total of 10 Health Tonics in the game, Hank can do this two times in total. The gun's design changes with each upgrade and will make a headshot kill more gory, by blasting the monster's head off in a large splatter of blood and tissue. Custom I can kill a Thinman in two headshots. Custom II can kill a Thinman with one headshot, three bodyshots or four legshots, while a Fatman, Helpless Fatman, "Headless" and Crawlingman will take two regular shots. A legshot will cause a Thinman to stagger around three steps back for approximately two seconds.

Base form.

A second version after first upgrade.

Final version after the second and only last upgrade. It represents a more powerful version, despite the ammo remains unchanged.
