A key used to unlock the paw-shaped keyhole inside The Hospital. It's only available in the The Director's Cut on a New Game+.
To obtain it, do the adopt the cat sidequest and give the cat all five tins of cat food. Then, attempt to give your cat the Cat Plush. You will receive the Cat Key in return.
At the end of the game, you can unlock the receptionist room in The Hospital with it. The key is thrown away after use. The strange canister inside can be used with a Can of Soda to make Chilled Can of Soda, or you can use Mexican Cola to create Chilled Mexican Cola, the best drink item in the game and useful for getting the White Ending.
